  • Typed Letter on WSPU headquarters headed paper. Signed by Emmeline Pankhurst the letter refers to a protest on Monday March 4th 1912 and requests the recipient addressed as 'colleague' to come to the Gardenia Restaurant, Catherine Street, Strand, on Monday at 6pm. The letter notes 'It will be necessarry to present the enclosed card before admission, and no one will be admitted, excepting those who are taking part int he protest and who are provided with cards.'....'On no account reveal the contents of this letter to anyone or speak of it to anyone, even although you know they may have the same information as yourself'.
