A contingent of Suffrage pilgrims en route from Cornwall to London carrying the banner 'National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies Land's End to London'. This was one of 8 processions that set off in the Summer of 1913 from all over the UK representing the law-abiding campaign for female suffrage. This spectacular event, organised by the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies was intended to counter public concerns about the escalation of Suffragette militancy.
