  • A near complete, reconstructed donkey mill. The upper stone is original, the lower stone and the wooden parts are replicas. In addition to this example uncovered at Princes Street, London EC2, fragments of at least four other donkey mills were uncovered at Poultry, London EC2 (ONE94). Large quantities of flour could be produced at these mills by a donkey turning a heavy millstone and grinding cereals and grains.
