  • Adult size left foot ankle boot with a vamp and two separate quarters (one missing), and a one-piece sole. The heel stiffener is also still in situ. Toe end damaged. Stitch holes on the sole indicate a possible missing clump (patch) sole. There are stitch holes on the inner surface of the throat either for reinforcement cords or an insert tongue. There is no evidence for a top band. Part of a leather thong is still in situ at the side. The boot was fastened at the front either with a lace/thong or with a (now missing) buckle.
