This leaflet announces a 'Great Demonstration of Suffragists', one of two 'Votes for Women' demonstrations held in Hyde Park in the summer of 1910 in support of the proposed Conciliation Bill. Between 1910 and 1912, three Conciliation Bills giving limited female suffrage were drafted and debated by parliament. None succeeded in being passed into law. The leaflet gives details about the demonstration organisers, platform speakers and the routes of the two marches that converged on Hyde Park from east and west London.

Record quality:
Not every record in Collections Online is complete. Some have low quality images designed purely for recognition, while some have been catalogued only to a basic standard. This graphic is designed to give you an impression of the quality of data you can see. 100% meets all our current data standards and has a high quality image, 20% is a basic record with no image. Individual record quality can change over time as new photography is carried out and records are worked on.
