  • This is a weighted mount from the bottom end of a large drinking horn. It has a tapering socket and a weighted globular end. Mounts of this type were more common in Norway. This one might have belonged to one of the Vikings who attacked Lundenwic in the 800s. Found in Fetter Lane, Holborn.
