  • Uncoloured theatrical souvenir sheet engraved with a portrait of the actor Mr Haines in the role of Wat Tyler. Marked 'No 101' and published 'as the Act directs November 13 1837'. Such portraits would have been sold as theatrical souvenirs. 'Mr Haines' may refer to John Thomas Haines, who wrote a play called Wat Tyler. Haines wrote the successful nautical drama 'My Poll and my Partner Joe' and other melodramas for London theatres.
