  • Mechanical lithographed tinplate toy clown and dog. Spring action banjo playing clown and performing dog on base. Pierrot clown dressed in a green amd white striped outfit, with red and yellow ruff and hat, and a dog in red dress on turning circle. As the spring lever beneath the base is moved, the clown advances forwards and the circle beneath the dog rotates. Purchased for one penny (1d) from a London street trader on 20th November 1907.
