  • Purple, sequinned, lace overdress. Bodice of purple machine net. Shallow boat shaped neckline plunging to a V at the back of the neck. Narrow tapering sleeves, with a pair of press studs at the wrist, cut in one with the bodice with a gusset under the arms. Horizontal and vertical darts to bust, vertical darts back left and right from waist. Opening centre back and fastening with a zip, hook and eye. Neckline bound with white net. Bodice trimmed with circles of purple sequins, each sequin secured with a bead, with a diamanté drop in the centre of some circles. Circular skirt of yellow net, decorated with purple lace trimmed as the bodice, radiating out into points. Skirt further trimmed with scattered diamanté drope. Condition: some sequins missing and loose threads. Worn by donor, née Cragg, danced with Peggy Spencer's Formation Dance teams as a member of the South London Modern Team.
