  • This mourning card was produced in loving memory of Her Majesty Queen Victoria who died on 22 January 1901. It is printed on white card with a silver and black border. On front there is an illustration of a band of silvered ribbon marked 'In Memoriam' entwined within a garland of white flowers. Inside, a roundel portrait of the Queen above a six line verse with on the opposite page the Queen's birth & death dates are given. Such cards were bought by the general public as a way of mourning the queen's death and acknowledging her long reign.
