Left foot patten made from one piece of wood with leather toe straps. The toe is pointed and the patten has three wedges, in the toe, tread and seat. The straps are made from two layers of leather stitched together, flesh surface to flesh surface. The straps are decorated with a stamped design of woven X's, with a background of vertical and horizontal lines. There is a binding strip along the strap edges, which was attached after the straps were stitched. The form and construction is similar to no. 127 in Grew & de Neergaard, 2006, 94-95.

Record quality:
Not every record in Collections Online is complete. Some have low quality images designed purely for recognition, while some have been catalogued only to a basic standard. This graphic is designed to give you an impression of the quality of data you can see. 100% meets all our current data standards and has a high quality image, 20% is a basic record with no image. Individual record quality can change over time as new photography is carried out and records are worked on.
