  • Part of a multi layered leather patten for an adult right foot. There are three layers in the forepart. The outer sole has grit in it from wear and is very worn on one side of the heel. The patten is very narrow with a very pointed toe. There are two stitch holes in the centre of the tread and in the middle of the waist. These are probably for holding the layers of leather together during the stitching of the patten. There are possible traces of an iron nail to one side of the waist.

Record quality:

What is this?

Not every record in Collections Online is complete. Some have low quality images designed purely for recognition, while some have been catalogued only to a basic standard. This graphic is designed to give you an impression of the quality of data you can see. 100% meets all our current data standards and has a high quality image, 20% is a basic record with no image. Individual record quality can change over time as new photography is carried out and records are worked on.
